Cool!
Will buy as soon as it's available in the "dead tree" version.
Given your latest adventures, the sequel shouldn't be too long in coming, either.

On its way. I will be reading it Wed night. Amazon Prime is amazing.
Also ordered "The Boys in the Boat;" Kathi's been pushing me to read that one; she has the audio version as she's on the road so much.

I'm ordering one too!

Bill, Leafman (and anyone else) :thumb:,
I have only seen a digital proof and have yet to see a print copy myself - so if the production turns out to be rubbish, my apologies.
As for the contents........... .well, it is what it is and I hope you enjoy it.

Ordered mine yesterday evening.

Nick, I hope you are gearing up for a re-do of that recent aborted foray north on the Falcon.

Unfortunately I don't think I'm going to have the time any time soon. I would love to turn up again while the folks doing the survey are still there, just to see the look on their faces (and take them a 'thankyou') but it's a 4 day round-trip and even irresponsible me has to be at home pretending to work some times. :weiner:

Oh, come on, Nick. Do it. You can find that amount of time. All of your fans are looking for the return trip.
If you put it off til next year, it may never happen! Go smell the roses and prove that The Mighty Falcon is up to the task. Please!

Ordered. It will be weird reading something that's not on my iPad! Looks. Forward to it though.

Just got it.
Arrived after a brief but spirited ride on some local back-road delights on the EV. My, my, that old girl can dance when the stars align as they did today.
Anyway, seemed auspicious to find it waiting at the door.

As I ride the Norge to Eire tomorrow, will give me something pleasant to read while visiting the outlaws.
Thanks, Nick.

Kindle for iPad for me... I can read anywhere and pretend I am working...
Thanks,

Bill,
I think you have the honour of being the very first to see the print copy. I haven't even seen one yet. No doubt they are held up at customs or at a brokers somewhere.
I hope the print quality is OK and that the photos rendered reasonably. The content - well, I can only blame myself for that.
Many thanks, happy reading, and if you aren't too displeased, a review on Amazon seems to go a long way (and is certainly worth a beer, if ever we meet) :boozing:.

A beer?
For a (positive) review?
OK, you met my price. :boozing:
Seriously print quality is quite fine. B&W pix, while hardly Life mag clear, are just fine for the book and its story.
Haven't started reading yet, but will soon.

I read it on the Kindle when it first came out. Gave it a glowing review.. gotta help my WG buds.. although it *is* good, but it apparently disappeared into the ozone. <shrug>
-
It should still be in your Kindle bookcase Chuck. Check your PMs.

Thanks for the kind offer to send me a paperback version, but just the review vanished. I still have the electronic version.
-
Nick,
Got my copy and am bout 2/3 through.
I like the stories and the print & picture quality are just fine.
The only problem is - now I feel like I need to learn some mechanic skills.
Enjoying the read and I'll pass it on to the wife when I'm done.
Also, will give a review on amazon.

I just found out that the shipping from Amazon.com to Canada is absurdly expensive. If you are in Canada and want the paperback, please contact me directly and we'll organize something more equitable.
