Title: Finally a REAL dealer for Moto Guzzi somewhat close to Maryland/DC
Post by: fanattic on August 01, 2015, 02:30:38 PM
I took a ride up to Europa Macchina yesterday for the first time. Was blown away when I walked in the front door and saw: 4 Stelvios, 2 Norges, 1 Griso, 3 California/Eldorados, and 6 V7s, all new on the showroom floor! This along with several vintage bikes, 3 restored Porsche engines, including one from an early 60s 904!, (the rest of the car was in the back being worked on), and lots of accessories. I met Lori, and she gave me a tour of the place. Wow. What a clean shop. I'd love to work in a shop like that. Then I met her husband Dennis, and I met Walt (WaltR), who it turns out I've known from a previous life. (Guess I need to get out more  ) . All in all had a great time there, and am very impressed with their people, their restoration efforts and their professionalism. It's about 1.5 hours by highway, or 2 hours by backroads. A little less distance than Winchester Motorsports for me. Only other options are the almost defunct (from what I've heard) Speeds Cycle, and it's a lot closer/easier to reach than Redline who I also hear is not carrying Guzzi anymore. Nice to know there's a dealer within reach who's treating MG as a real company.

Good to see a dealer carrying a wide variety of the Guzzi line.  I notice that much of the inventory is 2012 and 2013 vintage...possibly left over from other dealers and thus heavily discounted (Guzzi content!).

La Moto in Arlington Virginia is 3 miles from Washington DC. They have the full complement of Guzzis, Aprilias and Vespas.

I didn't know about La Moto. I'll have to check them out. However there is the problem that I have a strong aversion to the thought of driving in Northern Virginia! ;)

Finally?

Haven't they been carrying Guzzi for almost half a decade?

 :boozing:

Fwiw, I've heard nothing but good from people like Jay who've done business with them.  :thumb:
