Title: EV question,easy
Post by: azguzzirep on August 03, 2015, 04:14:32 AM
Is the connection that sits above the battery, a computer connection or is an accesory outlet?

Thanks,

Tom

My '01 did not come with an accessory outlet. When the began to, it was located just below the left side cover. So, I would say it is a puter plug.

My 98 had the large P8 box. No accessory outlet. However there was a diagnostic connector and small led light located rear right side of the battery on the frame.  When using connector provided the led light signaled diagnostic codes.

Ok, I#m going with computer hook up.

I was hoping it was an accessory, navi, cig lighter, light, etc.

:1: on the diagnostic indicator.  There should be a plug dangling loose from it.  Insert the plug, turn the key to ON, nearby LED starts flashing with numeric codes.  Pretty rudimentary by today's standards.
