Hello,
I recently bought a low mileage 1989 Lemans 1000 with the black/red/white factory paint job. The bike had been stored for some time and I hadn't originally noticed that the black has a fine metal-flake. I need to do some very minor air-brush or rattle can (Dupl-Color) touchup if I can find anything close to the color, then also re-shoot the clear-coat on the front fender and the upper fairing half due to some flaking of the existing clear-coat.
Does anyone know what type of paint Guzzi was using at this time, ie lacquer, urethane, etc? I've had good luck with PPG Concept 2021 as a re-clear over original factory clear-coat in the past, but those spot repairs were all on mid to late 1990's bikes.
Appreciate any advice.

I am in search mode for the same paint for my 89 lemans. Color Rite was no help and neither are any of our normal Guzzi part suppliers. I took a panel with all three colors and had a color match done in industrial urethane but haven't checked to see if the match is acceptable.
