Title: Phone changes at Harper's
Post by: Curtis Harper on August 04, 2015, 03:31:47 PM
Just to squash any possible rumors about our demise, we are NOT going anywhere. Due to lousy service from the long distance provider, and the fact that most everyone has free long distance on their cell phones anyway, we are doing away with our 800-752-9735 number. Our regular line of 816 697 3411 will be our main contact line and we are adding two more lines to back it up to handle the calls.

We have long prided ourselves on the 800 number as it is the same one we have had for almost 30 years and we felt it was useful to our customers. However when the provider cannot maintain open lines for our customer to communicate, we find it hard to keep paying the bill for something that does not work. And most everyone with a cell phone gets free long distance anyway. We hope that this does not inconvenience anyone too much, and we look forward to serving your Guzzi needs for years to come.

I don't have a cell phone or free long distance, but I checked my bill and my last call to you cost me $.40.

I think I can stand that .....

Thanks Curtis.  That's no hardship for me.  My shop line has unlimited long distance, and I often wonder why so many vendors list only their 800 numbers, or at least make me dig to find a non-800 number.

Good to know, even if I didn't use the 800 #. I did pass the 800# on to another person so will make sure he knows not to use it anymore. :thumb:

Good choice.  I have not sought out an 800 number for years.

Good choice.  I have not sought out an 800 number for years.

Me neither.   The regular toll lines for most businesses get answered a WHOLE lot quicker than the 800 number ....
