I was cleaning out the "White Whale" to get ready to sell and I came across this card in a fairing pocket.
Must have missed it the first time I went through it.
I never met him, bought the bike from his wife, Betty after he passed.

Is that a Convert???

Yes, an '86.
I was going to strip it down originally but I had a hoot riding it around like this so I left it alone.

I remember that bike way back when at Kansas rallys. Is that old man Yodder's boy?

Dean and his wife Betty were Guzzi thru and thru. One of so many fine Guzzi riders I've met by attending hundreds of Guzzi rallies since 1971.
Yes, it is a convert. Steve Walker lived in Leoti, KS way back then and Dean got Steve and Leila on Guzzis.

a I do.... Dean passed away in July of 2003 at 72 years old. Dean, Betty, myself and my wife done a little riding together over the years. Dean bought the first Moto Guzzi I ever saw back in the 70's. Dean and Betty treated us like parents. He was a fine man to say the least. He loved the Moto Guzzi. He got me into Guzzi's in May of 1983. I got rid of my old Triumph. I then bought a 73 El Dorado one weekend and the next weekend we head out to Sylvan Grove for the Moto Guzzi National. I couldn't believe all the Guzzi's gathered at one place.
Dean bought our first year membership into the National Moto Guzzi Owners club at that rally. He taught me many things about my old El Dorado. Setting valves, etc.
Thanks for the memory.
