Title: Lower Gear Shift Lever on 2013 V7 Special

Is it possible to lower the gear shift lever on my 2013 V7 Special? I cannot see any way to do it.

just adjust the length of the rod between the foot lever and the lever on the gear box, behind the frame on the left side
simple procedure but its in an awkward location
