I need to find a store in the greater minn/st paul metro area with a very good selection of brass fuel line fittings. I've been to Menards and a few napa/autozone stores and their selections suck like a turbocharger. Also need a UJM/Suzuki store with a real parts counter and good accessory selection (aux lights, gloves, etc. ) Finally, an electronic components store like the old radio shacks chain where I can get LED panel gauges and 5mm Led sleeves. I've blown two days on this quest and it's getting old. Any suggestions appreciated.

the Axman has tons of bulk electronics not far from you on University ave about a block west of Snelling on NE corner. if they don't have it they can probably put you on to someplace.
YOU WILL LOVE THE AXMAN ! worth a trip just to look at stuff.

thanks, I'll visit those sites. We went to the axeman yesterday and I got several packages of various sizes wire shrink tubing, pipe cleaners, and toggle switches. I took a stroll down the aisles and decided I better get out of there while I still had money. GREAT STORE!

I had to punt on the brass fittings and do an internet order. The Suzuki shop (hitching post) has to order the m/c piston its -- $60/ea. They'll ship as they arrive -- UPS ONLY -- for another $62/per kit. Standard, they say, when shipping out of the country. Same as when they ship to Puerto Rico, the boy says.
These are 2" items weighing about an ounce each, and Alaska is not out of the country. I get so f*($king angry sometimes.
My daughter volunteered to do a counter pickup and USPS them for the couple bucks it ought to cost. But still . . .

It truly is worth a trip to Minneapolis/St. Paul just to walk through this store. Awesome place.
In St. Louis, the go-to electronics store is Gateway Electronics. They don't have the vast array of weirdness that Axman has, but they have a vast array of electronics, new parts and old boxes.
