I'm interested in mounting aux lighting on Agostini crash guards, my question is the amount of heat that the jugs and headers gives off. Do you guys think there's enough space between the bars and the hot parts for wires and LEDs?

Are those the Agostinis? I would have guessed them to be HB, but maybe I am getting the Agos confused with the Stucchi?
I don't have a definite answer for you, but I'll say that I'd be concerned. It looks awfully close and those headers get HOT!

LED are heat sensitive.
But I have had a set on my Stelvio bars for probably 20,000 mile. To the outside of the exhaust headers. Directly in front of the bar. No issues so far.

Yup, those are Agos. I just measured mine. If you mount the lights right before the bar starts to curve downwards, you'll have roughly 1 3/4" to the jugs, and 3 1/2" to the header. Both measurements were from the inside of the bars.
I think another member mounted aux lighting to his bars to good effect, and w/ pics. I'll see if I can find that thread.

I mounted Denali LED's on mine, I believe that when moving the heat is carried away from the lights. I'll take a picture tonight if I remember.

I've just received some HB bars with similar plans. I was going to try some cheap (<$100) LEDs. If they fry I'll live with it, as long as they're fused. On the other hand I've also got higher output H4 globes to try (still 60/55w) so may not find it necessary.
Looking closely at your pic, it looks like the Ago bars lower mount is on the downtubes where the HB bars have the lower mounts on the frame where it's horizontal. Apart from that they look very similar to the black HBs

Check Amazon for cheap LEDs. I've got a $30 set of 18W floods on my Wrangler and the same in spots on my Stelvio. Great build quality, supposed to be Cree LEDs, such low draw that you can wire them off accessory wiring without a relay. You can't really go wrong for that price. Lots of choices for sizes and shapes too.

I installed a set of PIAA lights on my crash bars (2010 V7) a couple of months ago. The sun was very bright when I took these pictures so they don't look nearly as bright as they really are when you're driving and cars see you coming. They work really well and 99% of the "clowns in cars" that were pulling out in front of me from driveways & parking lots have stopped their bad behavior. I've installed similar lights on most of the bikes that I've owned since the mid 80's when I discovered the triangular light pattern was a good deterrent for the bad behavior of many drivers. You can actually see many drivers start to pull out and suddenly hit their brakes when they see the lights.

Nice looking rig. I was going to mount a pair of really small lazer like mini lights, each on a forward facing mast, mounted under the fairing on my classic.

I've ridden 700 miles in up to 90 degrees the past 3 days. Putting my bare hand on the lights finds them cool to the touch. Even in Nashville traffic.
