LeMans and 1000S are two different models, sharing the same platform.
In The USA, 1991 and 1993 were the two years of the 1000S. These are rare motorcycles, but occasionally come up for sale.
The LeMans V last year in the USA was 1991. Rare bird with only about 17 imported.

I understand that they filled a container with 17 LMVs and 17 1000S. At least that's what my feeble memory is telling me..

Yes. And as I also recall, there were no Guzzi imports into The USA for model year 1992.

The one problem on the big valve bikes was a batch of Akront rims that would split down the middle and Guzzi replaced them as needed. Met a guy years ago at the Guzzi in the Blue Ridge rally who had it happen to him while riding the Parkway.
A couple of years ago someone was selling a 1000S in PA that looked like this:

And he wanted some ridiculous amount of money for the bike. I offered him $2,500? bucks because that is what I thought it was worth but it sold to someone else and I didn't ask what he got for the bike.

Hey, isn't that a picture of...checking...the bike from " Girl Meets Bike " ? No, that one was a '91.

The bike from Girl Meets Bike was rough but, more like "ridden hard, put away wet". The one pictured was more like, "ran when parked in my unheated, gravel floor barn".

A mate in the UK had a tasty 1000S for sale. Restored & not cheap, so could still be on the market.

If anyone's interested, a '91 I believe.

Thx for all that .............. so for a mortal man such as myself I will be looking for a 1000 S .. green frame or black frame.
It appears that because of my location ( Canada ) I will be looking for a U.S or Canadian registered machine from 1991 or 1993 is that right?
What year was the spoke wheels offered? Were they offered on the Lemans as well or just as an option on the 1000 S?
Thx all.............. just trying to get it all straight at what is what.
Ciao.
