Hey there -
I have only just topped the 600 mile mark on my V7 Stone, and I seem to be having problems with the fuel reserve. I ride about 175 miles and the reserve light comes on. The bike has twice run out of gas at about 185 miles (the only two times it has gotten to 185 miles on a tank). I can get it going again by shaking the bike side to side and riding the bike to a gas station. The fill up both times has been 3.8 US gallons. I have been reading through old threads that 5.2 gallons should be the usable amount of fuel in the tank. Is there something stupid I like a reserve switch that I am not using? Barring that, anyone have any idea of how I get the fuel pick up out of the tank to inspect it?

My 2014 V7 Special hits reserve between 300-350km (186-217 miles) & the latest I filled it so far has been at 404ks (251 miles) when it took 16.73 lires (4.4 gals), so there was 4.27 litres (1.12 gals) fuel left.
Empty the fuel tank, remove it, turn it upside down & in the inside of the LHS channel facing the main frame tube is a rectangular plate bolted in. You'll find the fuel pump behind that. Others on this site have investigated this previously, with some little success, but not a definitive fix to date.

While you're there you may need to check your fuel filter. My 15 Stone and my bud's 15 both had the half metal/plastic filter and ethanol is ruining the plastic. It's a matter of (short) time until the plastic splits and then game over.

Something's wrong. The light should come on betewwen 170-200 miles, depending on your mileage and how high you topped it off. That is too early, as Guzzi didn't change the fuel level sensor after moving to the larger tank. But you should not be running out of gas if you started with a topped off tank.

This, and the other answers so far... something is amiss.
I've put as much as 5 gallons in mine...and I routinely run 50-100 miles after the low fuel light.

The light on mine come on after 120-150 miles. I usually fill up within 30 more miles and it will take about 3 to 3.5 gallons. And I don't try to squeeze any extra gas into the tank when I fill up. I've only run out of gas once and it was pushing 200+ miles, and there was about a gallon of gas that I couldn't get to still in the tank. To me, it sounds like your light is coming on too late and obviously something is restricting the fuel in the tank. But 185 miles on 3.8 gallon sounds in the ball park for fuel economy.

Is the dealer close? With only 600 miles so far I'd be tempted to let the dealer cover the issue first if still under warranty.

Thank you all for the replies.
I have one other symptom that I identified today. It is stalling in right hand turns. I stop at a light at which I wish to turn right. Light turns, I go, and shifting into second the engine stalls two out of three times while I have the clutch in. It only seems to be right hand turns. Shockingly odd to my mind.
My dealer is not close, but worse they are useless. I have already had a devil of a time simply get them to adjust the clutch free play. I am tired of trying to get them to be competent.
I thank "Malik" very much for the photo of the bottom of the tank. That was a huge help! I will attempt to do something about this after I return from vacation, but thank you all for your words of help.
