Title: 2002 Special Sport and Givi saddlebags
Post by: gutzi on August 24, 2015, 08:10:09 PM
Hello
Just received a 2002 Special Sport from a great seller.  Guzzi leather bags came with it, but I also have a set of Givi hard cases that I am pondering mounting.  Haven't made up my mind yet.  Any way, used to have a 2003 Cali Stone.  I had givi's mounted on it, and as I recall it had a strange mounting system.  I believe there was a bracket that mounted to each side of the bike, and then a separate piece that mounted to that bracket, with the lugs to fit into the Guzzi cases.

What would I need to mount these Givi bags on the Special?  And, if anyone out there has the brackets, and would want to part with them, please let me know.  Pictures might help.

Thanks

No, nothing wrong with them.  Still trying to make up my mind.  I did like the looks of the Givi's on my Stone in the past.  Just looking for options.  The Givi's are a bit bigger too.

Hello
So in my search for a way to mount Givi monokey hard cases on a 2002 Cali Special Sport, I have found no easy solution.  Does anyone have any experience with a system for mounting these Givi's on this bike, without extensive fabrication?  Also, I have run across some postings on the Givi Wingrack, but not specific to this year/model bike.  Has anyone used the Wingrack to mount to their Cali?  Lastly, was there ever made a factory mounting system for these bags and bike?  If any of you good folks have found a successful way to do this, I would appreciate details, and pictures, if possible.  Thanks!!
