After a lot of thought I have decided to part with my 1973 V7 Sport, I have ridden it for two summers, enjoyed it very much but after getting a 750 S3, 750S and Le Mans MK I in the past year I can't justify keeping all of them and I have chosen to part with the V7 Sport.
I have documented every single step of the restoration on this site, nothing has been overlooked.

I can say with confidence that this 1973 V7 Sport is as correct as the day it left Mandelo. The colour is the original deep red, all parts are 100% correct, and every single item is new, rebuilt, replated or repainted. There are no excuses with this bike, it is as good as it gets. I can help arrange shipping to Canada or the USA but buyer pays shipping. I have a clear US title for the bike and it has had about 500 miles put on since the full rebuild. I have just synced the carbs and set up the front brakes. The bike has a Brown side stand fitted and I have a K&N pod air filter fitted but will include the original air box as well. I also have a new starter but will include the original tiny Bosch starter with the sale. The original tool kit in the original canvas bag and the original owners manual are included with the sale.
Check it out on Ebay.
Payment will be accepted by bank wire transfer only.
I will provide a copy of all the receipts for new parts, the machine work etc.
Thank you for your interest.
You can send me a personal message if interested.
Cheers
Jim Carey

That thing deserves a place at Barber's in Birmingham !!!

Very Nice! GLWS!

I see both Meacom and Bonhams are taking consignments for the Jan auction in Vegas. Your bike is VERY nice and I think it would do well there. There is the additional auction expense and a few months wait but it may be worth the wait.

I so love the looks of those 4LS front brakes.
Even though I have a Lemans 850, those Sports look as good or better.
Want.....

I may go the auction route but I want to see if I can find a home for the Sport in the 'local' community first. I have no experience with auctions, and there is the logistics of getting the bike to Vegas but worst case I get a Vegas holiday in January and get to see some great bikes. I stay away from Vegas because I know I would fall in love with some other marque and end up going home with more bikes than I started off with. :cheesy:

I've been going to auction for several years. It's a great place to sell, not so good too buy. There are a few deals but they are usually jap bikes. Shipping is not too bad usually around 500.00 from the midwest.

Jim,
That is spectacular as usual, and a very fair asking price. IMO, that's a $20K bike all day long. Might be worth the trip to the auction. I highly doubt you'll get your price from someone here.

This V7 deserves someone that will ride the wheels off of it trying to wear it out and enjoy every second of it.

This bike is just like my old one, except likely better. I passed it on to some friends, I think the price is very reasonable.

I am going to put the bike on Ebay and see where it goes for a week. Maybe I can should make some obscure comment about the bike being from the Huntington Beach vicinity even though it did come from Mark in Signal Hill, that may add $$$ to the value?
For those that are interested in where the price of these old V7 Sports end up keep an eye on Ebay.

Make sure you say it's "been your daily driver". The other guy always does.

put a repo police siren on it, that bumps the value up by about $20k :copcar: :boozing: :boozing:

Wonder where I can bolt a siren on?

Just tape a picture of a siren to the bike and use an Iphone app for the sound

A poor 10 days fishing, I got a couple nibbles but not a single bite!
I told my better half that one of my Guzzis would go and the V7 Sport was the 'best' candidate to move on.
Not being able to find a home for her, the V7 Sport has a reprieve and will stay cozy in the garage with her mates.
1st world problems for sure.
