Title: My light-hearted Harper's story
Post by: ratguzzi on August 26, 2015, 05:13:05 PM
This is just about Curtis's sense of humor. If it goes negative, I will simply delete the post.
Many years ago, I had a very minor issue with Harper's, not even exactly sure what it was. This was way before wildguzzi was ever born and we were on topica.
So I posted a pic on topica without saying anything about Harper's but it showed me clearly cleaning my toilet bowl with a Harper's T-shirt. 10 or more years go by and I saw some used Givi bags on Harper's website at a really good price. I placed an order. This may have been last year or maybe a little earlier. My package arrives and I open it up, bags look exactly or better than the pics. I open up one of the bags and there was a brand new toilet bowl brush in it!!! I was a bit confused at first then I busted up laughing! Curtis remembered my little photo 10 years later! I tip my helmet to ya, Curtis! Well done!

I'll bet he's still got it.

That brush in the Givi is the kind of thing I'd love to be able to think up to do .... !

I too have been the recipient or maybe victim of Curtis' sense of humor. Years ago I had a carburetor off the CX100 and dropped it bending the barrel to the point where the slide wouldn't move. I got a new carb from Curtis AND this reminder I have prominently displayed on the wall of my office as a reminder to myself.

IF IT WORKS, DON'T FIX IT!

Was it really a new brush?

A scruffy, badly cleaned USED one would have been even a better token of appreciation ..... !

You know it's what YOU would have done if you'd been the sender, I'll bet a pension check on it ....

I had my first dealings today with Harpers. I needed a major service on my Norge and since the Wichita dealer has closed they were my next closest dealer. I was very pleased and the experience overall was very enjoyable. Mike has an amazing collection of bikes and none of his dogs even growled at me.
