Title: CX100 petcock ???
Post by: dsrdave on August 26, 2015, 06:34:07 PM
Can anyone tell me what the original petcock was like on an '81 CX100.  Due to the side fairings none of the photos I have show them.  I'm not sure if it's the sugar cubes or the later style.  Thx for the help, dave.

Mine look like this. Didn't buy it new, got her in '89.

Thanks, John.  I have both types here so I might as well put the correct one's on.

My 1000SP had those, too. I *assume* they're the same.

My 1980 CX 100 had the square  Orlandi type petcocks.  Got the bike in 1986. Orlandi type internal  replacement bits were not available ( at least not at my local Guzzi dealer in San Francisco) and within a couple years  the OMG types( like the one in the pic) started showing up as a  replacement.  Paioli also has/had a similar design with a plastic handle .
