Title: '83 Lemans 3 color of the rear fender ????

I'm starting what will be primarily a cosmetic restoration on my LM III.  The tank appears to be all original paint, the black is a metallic black.  The rear fender is black but appears to have been repainted at one time and is not the metallic black as found on the tank.  My question is if the rear fender is supposed to be the same as the tank or just a plain gloss black. I've got lots of photos but nothing detailed enough to tell.  Thanks, Dave.
