Trying to get some braking going on the Strada, I have been spoiled by Brembo 4 piston gold brakes on all my recent guzzi's and while the Strada is a great bike, the front brake lever only moves a bit and I need more bite. First linked bike in a while too. I was thinking EBC HH's would give me a bit more in the front.
Any input is appreciated
Cheers,

Try the adjustment screw on the lever. You must have tiny hands.

Screw's all the way out, brakes are wooden. I was hoping a change in pads would help. I do have the brakes off my 02 Lemans, but I don't want to delink this bike and put on the modern brakes if I don't have to. It is just pretty hard to stop when you are riding quickly and need to decelerate quickly. Guess I could ride a bit more reasonably...
Thanks,

The EBC master list shows the Strada 1000 as using FA18HH front and rear. While the pads may help, I can't but think there's something else you may need to do in the brake system itself.

Thanks, I planned on bleeding the system and trying new pads. I do notice that when squeezing the front brake lever, the brake line flexes around a bit, when squeezing the front brake lever and mashing the pedal, the left line doesn't move a bit. Don't know much about these older brake systems, but I have guzziology and I like to fiddle with stuff, so I will get it sorted. I suspect the brakes are about what they should be, I am just used to being able to lock up the front and rear wheels when I grab the brakes

I have a file on maintenance, although I don't see where I rebuilt the forks and some of the later stuff. I'll send it to you via PM if that works..
Edit:
Check your pms father..

Is it possible someone started to delink and swapped out the front MC for a 15mm?

The problem may be with the oem rubber lines.....if they haven't been changed. You'll get a better feel with the ss lines. :thumb:
