All the Guzzi owner in Sitka will be celebrating world Guzzi day with local beer, homegrown marijuana, halibut and chips. Guzzi optional. If we run out I have more.
So if it's along your way, drop by!

Can't be there in person , but keep the phone handy and we will call from the Canton lake gig .

Mmmmmm - halibut! Wish I could join you...

I'll be at the Rockers Reunion at the Ace Cafe London on the 12th (MOT pass permitting)

No Halibut there

I would love to go to a Guzzi event but I don't think I can make it to Sitka. Maybe someone in Anchorage needs to step up and rally the Guzzi folks... mine isn't road worthy so I would be setting a bad example
-
I believe the rules allow for showing up to such an event with just a Guzzi in boxes, or one box of parts.
Or just a part, or a picture.
-
I checked -- you need to bring
1) yourself
2) anything else you might want to bring
3) except water. We have enough of that.
Nothing in the rules about riding a guzzi. In fact, no guzzis except mine have ever visited here.

Rode,
Dang...wish I could be there. Mary Jane? Really? Remember the old days in AK-land before it was illegal, now it is ok again?
Next summer I plan an Anchor-town trip. Would be cool to do a diversion to panhandle.
Houston Guzzi day too congested and on Saturday evening for me....not a fan of that combo.
-
You can get a flight from ANX to SEA that connects through SIT. AKAIR has plans that let you hang out a few days in an intermediate destination. So if oyu get the excuse to go to the panhandle AKAIR has the means. . .
Under the AK constitution MJ has always been legal. We made it a personal privacy/states-rights thing since the get-go. The problem has been with the fed and some individual lawmakers who made regular runs at criminalizing it, even though that couldn't be done without a constitutional amendment. The recent vote to 'legalize' has had no effect on the folks growing for personal use. The measure was to 'Tax and Regulate MJ like alcohol', which opens the door to zoning, business licensing, etc on the commercial level. It sets personal possession and grow limits, and (when finished) defines the industry for Alaska.
At the time of the ballot measure, there were four people incarcerated in AK for pot-related crimes. All four were large scale importers. Alaska has not persecuted a personal possession case in decades.
It's looking like I'll be smoking and eating for everyone since nobody has yet RSVP'd. The sacrifices I make for you kids . . . :food:  :boozing: :afro: :food: :food:

Hey, at least the CFL is a real game - with a wider and longer field, more movement, and 25% fewer chances for quarterbacks to show off. For that matter, I recall more than a few star players and Hall of Famers who got their training north of 49. Only thing semipro about the CFL is the pay!
We won't even talk about the fact that the NFL doesn't remember football is a FALL sport...

Wish I could make it Dave.
I tried to rally Guzzi riders in Anchorage for years, like herding cats. Best we ever got was 4 to Dawson City with the honorable Mr. Rodekyll and son Galen (an Anchorage resident ) and Ron Michaud came in from Alberta.(http://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/c/6/4/a/highres_211670762.jpeg)

Actually I like the Canuckistan game better than the "Murican version , of course Aussie rules football is the best  And let's face it , the Murican game is rigged anyway

I'm not going to start another topic, but the auroras are going both gang and busters. If it's dark and clear out at your house take a look (it's neither dark nor clear at mine, but that could change).
