Had a great ride from Pittsburgh to Staunton VA yesterday. 260 mile and it handled great but noticed when I stopped in Montery VA with the bike in first gear and the clutch engaged it seemed to want to keep moving forward. I couldn't get it into neutral fast enough and it stalled. That happened a few more times. Of course, if I got it into neutral before coming to a stop then no problems. My concern is riding to Pittsburgh tomorrow and I loose my clutch. Is this something I can adjust at the clutch lever or does it sound more internal.

Sam, there are three adjustment points, at the lever, at the case at the back of the box and on the arm that the cable connects to. Use common sense to see what needs adjusting and adjust it.

Could just be a matter of simple adj at the several points. The same symptoms on my T3 was the result of a worn (knotched) splined hub. I'd pull the clutch lever (bike in 1st gear) and the Guzzi would creep forward. More common on the earlier 2mm clutches, vice later 4mm versions. Below is a pic I pulled from the web...looks to be a 4mm hub, but you can see where the knotches would develop. Just my initial thoughts, those more knowledgeable will probably have other suggestions.

Most of the adjustment came from the clutch lever. Where the cable connects to the lever at the back of the box seems to have little impact (IMO) on the cable length. The adjustment at the back of the box is inaccessible to me. I have a second clutch cable....at home!
