Post by: kirkemon on September 08, 2015, 10:41:43 PM
This international event, which started in Australia, is a good fundraiser for prostate cancer. Events in over 400 cities in 78 countries. I assume many of you will be riding, and I encourage all to participate.

If your on the Los Angeles area, please join me.

Here's the video from last year.

This came up on V11LeMans.com too. One member is going for sure. I registered, but I need to get on a plane from LAX to Chicago Sunday afternoon - so I am trying to figure out my plan. Will do my best to be there even if only for the start.

I'm signed up for my third year here in Sacramento. Anyone joining me from the Sacto area?

I was thinking of registering, as I have plenty of nice suits and other dapper clothing (along with a nice beard), but I no longer have a motorcycle or scooter that fits the style guide. What to do?

What to do? Maybe you should start a poll with some options, such as:
a) remove all the bags and body panels from the Norge
b) rent a suitable bike for the day
c) go shopping and re-qualify
d) ride pillion on some other distinguished gentlemen's bike

Jeff, I think you could redefine the style guide, (come as you are). Tie a ribbon in your beard, nobody will notice your Norge!

I think I'll ride my Vespa! I know it's newer than '70's vintage, but it looks close enough... Especially with a ribbon in my beard!

I was thinking of doing this ride, but not sure if either of my bikes would qualify for the ride. 2014 MG Cali Touring or my 2001 BMW R1200c (cruiser)

yeah.  all you have to do is sign up.....which is a pretty convoluted deal.

But sure, any bike or scooter will do.

Say, there is a Gentlemen's Club in my town.

If I go inside will there be lots of Guzzi jugs on display there?

$2K - nice work. I'm sneaking up on my $500 goal.

I'll also be at the LA ride on my V11 Scura - and I think we will see another V11 there.

I checked out your rider page - you'll be riding a Kawi.  I'll try to keep an eye out for you, but over 400 riders... wow.

I am up to $35.  My $20 + a $15 match, that of course, I matched back to him.
