Anyone use this writing style for an ad? Is craigslist worth a dang gor selling mg's?
-
If I was looking, I'd talk to him.. He's just telling it like it is, IMHO.
-
Man, that's a lotta bike for the money. Won't be thet cheap for long.
-
I thought the humor was pretty good and didn't sound like a bunch of BS. I'd say it looked pretty good and reasonably priced. Great bikes over 40MPH.

OMG! Pyramidal front turn indicators - absolute unobtainium !

......but port side tank eagle is flying backwards!
Go directly to Jail, do not collect $4550.

That was correct for bikes of that vintage. From the factory.

Reeeeeealy? Sh.........ucks, hafta go change mine now!

I enjoyed that well-written, informative, and humorous ad. I think knowing the seller a bit is part of the process - and this owner put a bit of himself and his sense of humor into the ad. :thumb:
I've sold several bikes via Craigslist - but I have never sold a Moto Guzzi (don't want to).
-
I think anyone who doesn't get the humor in that ad is lacking personality. Great ad, great bike.

Saw that... Gorgeous bike. Dropping Tom's name is a plus. I don't go anywhere else.

This same bike for sale here and on mgnoc site. nice!
-
He sounds like a dude I'd have a beer with. Good ad. Sell a guzziowner oc cl? Yes. I found it more effective than here and mgnoc
-
I'd have a look at it. Unlike a lot of CL ads, nothing in there that turned me off. Sounds real!

I agree, great ad. Good personal touch, rider to rider.

Hhmmm...new drive train for 97 California!!
-
Sounds like a scam... kidding. I agree, good person, hope the bike goes to someone whom cares about it as much as he did/does.

Its my bike for sale. Thankyou for the compliments. At the recent GRIN rally i bought a sport 1100 from a good friend in texas. Unfortunately the lemans has to go. I still love this bike, i just have too much going on and wiyh yhe sport showing up she will likely just sit. Entropy happens in my garage. I think it is better for me to thin the herd, although i have two project bikes underway. Hope someone here picks it up. Thanks again for the kind words. It reminds me why i hang out here. Guzzista are very special.

Entropy happens - ain't that the unfortunate truth? Good luck with the sale. :boozing:
