Quick guess would be that they are from Todd at Guzzitech as he has been developing some 4 valve heads for the small blocks.

V75 heads with some porting and bigger valves... :evil: :evil: :evil:

Enjoy it while it lasts, which will probably be about 5000 mi before the tappets and cams are shot. I hope you enjoy the extra 10% or so hp.
I'm not a fan of mods that add many extra parts and much extra moving weight for little gain, no matter how pretty it looks.

Not to be a nitpicker, but before it's finished I'd think it would look cleaner/better if the fins were rounded on the heads a bit to match, and a repaint to match the silver colors.
I bet this will be a fun bike!

Not to be a nitpicker, but before it's finished I'd think it would look cleaner/better if the fins were rounded on the heads a bit to match, and a repaint to match the silver colors.

Yes, rounded head fins, or some old style angular cylinders would look better, matching the paint shouldn't be a big deal. Working on the fit and tuning first. I think it will be a blast to ride!

Those are the 820cc cylinders. No cam change. I have 7800 miles on my build now. Setting the valve clearance every 2500 miles.
It been very reliable so far. Just gotta keep putting the miles on it. I checked valve clearance before and after the full bore dyno run. It didnt change a bit. I think a huge help towards reliability is the built in rev limiter, it is really easy to wind it up quick, but once you get used to the limiter being there, it makes you aware of it, and you wind up shifting up right at 7000 rpm. Fun stuff.... :evil: :evil: :evil:

I was running it up to 7800 all the time.. that *may* have been my problem.. or not. Dunno. Sure was fun while it lasted, though. :thumb: I would have loved to keep experimenting with it, but the Aero engine was just too good an opportunity to pass up.

That Aero engine is a one of a kind bike for sure! I am hoping for better torque numbers with the 820cc kit. A little more surface area on the piston should make a measurable change. We will see. :laugh:

Oh, I would think it will. That is the one area that the 4 valve is lacking.. riding them back to back, the low end torque of the 2 valve V7 is noticeably better. Above 5K it's nolo contendere. :smiley:

I won't pic nits regarding shape, color, functionality or longevity nor overlay my preferences upon someone else's time or efforts but I would like to see the work that went into this offered in a two valve, big valve, "Hemi" head as well.
Probably mostly to get rid of the industrial pimple valve covers on the baby Breva. The second ugliest style point in Guzzi's history. Y'all know damn well what the first ugliest is - don't fish! :evil:

I've been looking into an aftermarket production 4V head from a billet. So far everyone I have spoken with does not have the capability. I do think it would make more sense to have a 2 valve hemi head like Chuck's bike. A lot less moving parts, and the same airflow would be a good goal to shoot for. But for now, the 4V heads are not impossible to get, and they do work. Its all fun to mess with anyway.
