Title: 1975 850T aftermarket rear set mounting help please :)
Post by: NCAmother on September 12, 2015, 12:23:23 PM
I picked up a set of Tarozzi LeMans1 rear sets.  I've been trying to adapt them to my 850T with rear drum brake.  The shifter side goes on easy peasy, but I'm dumbfounded on modifications to mount the right hand foot brake side.  I was hoping someone here had a similar experience, and how did you resolve it?  Thanks,
ncamother

It can be done.  Have to machine clearance on the right side mount.   PM. me at dsrdave@live.com and I can send a couple pix.  Dave.

Flip the original lever 180 degrees (so it goes to back of bike). Cut it to about 3", drill a hole for linkage strait to rearset. Maybe tilt the lever on the splines up a bit for leverage. Once you see the lever on backwards it will make since.

Very cool. Thanks for the picture. Is there still plenty of leverage for the rear brake?
