Title: S'not to worry
Post by: Sasquatch Jim on September 16, 2015, 10:19:57 PM
about us on this rock.  Both Tom and myself live several hundred feet above sea level.
The tsunami is expected to generate a one to three foot tsunami for these islands.
That is not enough to worry about except maybe down on Ali'i Drive in Kona or possibly some waterfront areas in Hilo.
We will know more after it hits Rapa Nui  which is much closer to the epi-center off Chili.

It shouldn't affect the islands.  We don't have a tsunami warning at all.

I got a look at the earthquake map this morning.  Literally dozens of 4+ aftershocks and dozens of those are 5 and 6+.  Those folks are really getting a ride!
