No, but my silver Norge will be there the afternoon of October 18, as I will be attending the memorial event for uber long distance rider Ron Ayres. A bunch of us attending the Ironbutt Association's Texas gathering in Dallas will be riding down Sunday morning (NGC). I'll overnight in San Antonio before heading back to Las Vegas on Monday.

Don't know my schedule yet, but if I'm free I'll  buy you a cup of coffee and give you the 10 cent tour if you like.  Happy to advise on local restuarants and sights if you need info.

I may ride down Sunday evening to watch the lunar eclipse from the beach.

Thanks - but this is gonna be a quick visit, just for the ceremony down at Kemper Park - won't even have time to eat. I'll take you up on the offer next time!

IT. I understand you Iron Butt guys like to keep moving.  I heard rumor of a couple on the West End that ran a MC touring company.  Never connected it to Ron Ayers though.

190.

Far East End at Apple Park would be best bet.  The rebuilt Pavallion will be a significant source of light pollution though.

I'm sure the George Observatory by Brazos Bend will have some activities planned.

Thanks Dave,

We've had good luck finding beach access around Jamaica Beach, we went there for the meteor shower last month.  It seems to be far enough from all the light pollution along the seawall, as long as no 4X4s with spotlights show up.
