I'm trying to source a Telefix fork brace for a LM2; I've talked to Telefix in Germany and they have no stock and no longer manufacture one for the LM2.
Does anyone know where I could source one?
An internet search brings up a company in Sylmar, CA called Spec II but there is no email contact info. They include the LM2 in their list of models that they supply the fork brace for; has anyone had dealings with them?
As an alternative, has anyone fitted a Tarozzi fork brace to an old Guzzi; how does it perform?
The reason I'm asking...on a previous thread I was looking for advice on why my front brake lever came back further than normal on some occasions on my de-linked system. At the time I couldn't diagnose the problem.
This w/e I took my LM2 out for a ride and the brakes were fine until I hit a series of bumps in the road; the front lever then took a couple of pulls until they performed normally again. This happened a couple of times after hitting bumps and I'm sure the forks are twisting slightly and pushing the pistons back into the calipers.

My Mille had a Tarozzi fork brace on it when I bought it. I have not ridden the bike without it, but it's quite stable when pushed in turns to the point of scraping things, even on moderately bumpy roads.

Tarozzi braces are finished very badly. Mine didn't fit on the fork, I ground it to measure but it wasn't good enough and it cracked one slider. Had to give it to a machinist to make it usable. If you buy a Traozzi brace, be extra careful before you install it.

Finally opted for the NBS fork brace, mainly because it was the only metallic one I could find available.
Unfortunately it is cast in aluminium before being machined, so there were quite a few pock marks in the finished item due to
air bubbles.
Who ever had decided to polish it also went over board, because even the stainless bolt socket heads on the fork clamps had been rounded on places, as well as one clamp in the same area being worn down by the polishing wheel!
I decided to fill all the pock marks with JB Weld and built the worn areas back up with the same.
I then needed the top of the clamps machining to allow the dust seals to sit properly and be positively retained in place.
Finally some primer and a finishing coat of satin black.
A lot of work considering, but I'm happy with the result.

funny how replacing my rear tire helped to stabilize my fork.
