Post by: sign216 on September 23, 2015, 03:52:11 PM
Work has me in Freeport, Maine for a couple of days. Any good motorcycle places I should be sure to visit?

Not sure about cycle shops, but we were just up in Brunswick (north of Freeport) for a couple nights and ran up to Mt. Desert Island (Acadia Nat'l Park).   Awesome place...  And rt 1 up towards Acadia is nice.

Are you looking for places to ride, or bike shops to check out? I'm in Cumberland ten minutes south of Freeport . Let me know if I can offer any assistance.  Dave

Dave looking for bike shops, etc.  I'm in a work car, so no riding.

Rbd, the state park looks good.  Thanks.

There are only two shops reasonably close to you,one is Street Cycles in Falmouth on route one about fifteen minutes south of Freeport. They are BMW , Suzuki, and there is Tri Sports Honda in Topsham, about twenty minutes north of Freeport. They use to be Moto Guzzi also, but no longer. I don't know how long you are up for, but if you have time to get a ride in let me know ,I have an extra bike, and would be happy to go for a ride.

Lucian, that's a generous offer, but I didn't bring any of my gear so it'd be too much trouble. I'm happy to buy you a glass when you're free.

No trouble, and I have extra gear, so if you have time let me know. I have some scenic roads that lead to cold beer on the coast. Have to work tomorrow until  noon and then I'm free.  Just send me a pm and we'll hatch a plan.     Dave
