I've been looking for really good containers for hot or cold liquids to take along while riding. I've tried so many from some big brand names, few are really worth the money and most are really dismal at holding drinks at any decent temperature.
What I discovered that works exactly as you'd want, holding ice in water and still having ice after a 100+ degree day (more than 20 hrs) is the Hydro Flask. Simply amazing and worth every penny. Made in the USA too. The Hydro Flask doesn't sweat on the outside, nice so you can pack it next to something that should remain dry or hit be affected by the temp of what is being held inside the flask.
Like many things, true quality costs a bit but after a longer keg of a trip in the heat, nothing beats a cold drink.

For coffee, I have had good luck with the real Thermos brand. Hydro flask is also great stuff!

All stainless steel Aladdin. As long as it is not in direct sunlight will still have ice in it when I drink the last bit.

Both Thermos and HydroFlask (and probably Aladdin) use a vacuum for insulation. They probably work about the same. I have a HydroFlask growler for filling with beer at the local brewery.

:1: you just sold me on one of those!

For keeping items cold (if you can dedicate a section of a saddle bag) I'd suggest a chunk of dry ice in the saddle. No wet mess, just nice and cold and the ice will eventually just vanish. Probably a few days depending on size

Yeti coolers and mugs work great
