Title: 2006 Breva 1100 Newbie
Post by: dubtac on October 02, 2015, 11:46:21 PM
Sup fellas

Got a Breva in 2008 and have been riding the Ole Guzzi for a 8 years pretty trouble free. Excellent motorcycle it always has someone who wants to know what kind of bike is it. Here lately the war horse has been ornery. The ole gal has been dying on deceleration and I am stumped.

Cutting right out like an electrical fault or just losing power?

If it's a 1100 have you change the fuel filter in the tank?

The bike dies after accelerating then coming to complete stop like its not being commanded to enrich the a/f mixture fast enough. I have done a complete tune up including changing that very well placed fuel filter. Checked fault codes on dash got a 04 error immobilizer issue and a 06 dash air temperature issue nothing seems to be bothering the fuel injection on the ole gal. Checked for vacuum leaks nothing turned up from a smoke test. I appreciate the help guys I have no dealerships to bring my bike to in Louisiana

Remove and clean the throttle bodies thoroughly. Re-balance the TB's and re-set the TPS. Don't run the oil at full on the stick.
