Well, we are destroyed. When the dam broke, it took less than an hour to inundate the landscape. I run the local college MSF program and our site is under 10 feet of water. One shipping container is completely submerged and the other halfway so. Still 50 feet from the shore. I may need to borrow that submarine in Okihomie. I'll post pics later. No water service at the homestead but on a hill, high and dry. 12000 gallons of chemical free water in the pool.

So sorry! My thoughts & prayers are with you & the area.

It's a mess. Very sorry for you and everyone out there.

Incredible. I lived in Columbia during Hugo and it was nothing like what is happening now. Still have many friends there, all affected by the flooding.

Joe are you talking about the Rosewood campus? That whole area looked pretty bad.

Sorry to hear about the flooding. Glad you're OK. Flooding is not fun moving water, even raising water can play havoc with your life. Ask Hurricane Katrina survivors. On the Gulf coast the mantra is "hide from the wind run from the water". Prayers for the Columbia residents.
Fema has come a long way since Katrina as evidenced by their response to Hurricane Ike in Galveston, but self-reliance is key. Good thinking about the pool. Good luck and God Bless.

Glad you are OK. Forest Acres took a beating. We got lucky in the NE. My property sits on 147 feet of sand so most of the water has been absorbed but the low areas off Polo road has been devasted. steve

Glad you are OK.
You might not ask but:
Wishing well is nice but sometimes pulling a little out of the wishing well is better. Does your MSF program need donations for recovery or does your own program? Say so and can visit the donation thingy if you have one.

sorry for your misfortune. Best of luck.
