Just installed a H&B center stand on the V7. The only issue I have is that the center stands is a little squirrely. You barely push on the bike and its off the center stand. Anyone experience this?
-
I can't help you with an opinion as I haven't got one on my bike, but I get the shits not having a centre (center) stand every time I'm doing something on it other than riding.
With the way the stand is, do you think it's still worth it?
-
I had the H&B center stand on my (sold) 2007 Breva 750 and didn't like how easy the bike could come off the stand. I now have a 2010 V7 and the previous owner had installed the MG center stand. It's a little harder to get the bike "up" on the stand but it doesn't have the unstable feeling that I didn't care for with the H&B.

I have the MG stand on my 2013 and it works well. I take it that it won't fit on the 2016? Does MG not make one for the 2016?
-
Since the V7-II release the MG centre stand has been absent from the list of accessories.

Hey, congrats, WB.
When did you get that new V7? I must have missed your announcement post.
Pix?
Hope you get that CS issue squared away.

OEM stand on my V7 and it's easy up but very stable once there.
Sounds like something is different on the V7II and/or the HB stand.
-
Thanks, might as well send it back until H&B fixes the flaw.
Mr. Hagan, I will send pics once we put all the accessories on. H&G saddle bags, rear luggage rack, dart scree, and the engine guards.
One day The Minister of Finance said "Y'all need to buy another bike" Next thing I knew, my son and I was standing in the show room of Scoots in Richmond buying the 2016 V7II Special. Scoots has an assortments of new and used Guzzi's (V700's, Eldorado's, Girso's, and the Audace). Really friendly! The V7 is my son's

This is kinda funny. Far as I know the 750 Breva(mine) and the V7s have the same CS. When my Breva is loaded up w/weight it's a bitch to get off the CS. To me maybe the HB stand is better. :undecided: The grass is always greener...........

Yeah, but I wouldn't assume the V7II is the same... Could be, but wouldn't assume.

I have a 2010 V7C and a 2016 V7 Racer. The frame under the center section is different. The 2016 has a much improved kickstand as well.

2016 (US) V7II frames are different than previous V7 frames, particularly in the area where the CS would attach, and I doubt that the CS for the previous ones will fit on the V7II. The official US MG site for the V7II is confusing because the CS is listed as an accessory, but if you read the description is states it is for the V7 models. We'll have to put up with the H&B CS or wait until MG offers one specifically for the V7II.

How is the side stand improved? Did they fix the issue of the stand dropping and cutting out the engine?
-
When I bought my V7II, Moto I nternatonal said the they weren't pleased with the center stands so far. So I got a small scissor lift from Ebay that does nicely when I want to work on the bike. Sold by durapowers, $54 delivered.

I believe its the Euro stand. Shorter, bike leans over farther, etc.
Oh, I've never had a problem with the "American lean" so that might not be an improvement for me.
