I love my bike (2012 Norge)and it works very well. Just installed front and rear Matris suspension, a heated Corbin saddle, proving to be a great seat and it will get hot hot hot. The key stopped working to latch the rear trunk (probably my fault) so I installed a Hepco Becker rack and 55L Junior trunk. Been wanting the HB trunk for awhile.
Now for the Why it comes down to this. The Guzzi dealership I work at does restoration of classic European cars and everything is available to be to bring a vintage bike back to new and there are a few Guzzi's I have always wanted. Cannot see myself owning more than one bike. I kicked myself for not being able to buy a silver Blue 1000sp that sold on EBAY last year.

The solution is to add a term to your motorcycling, "transitional ownership". Think of it as a way to retain the Norge, sort of like a compass or direction setter as you move into and out of the restoration periods of older Guzzi s and through some period of enjoyment before heading to the next. Rinse, repeat.
That is if you'd like to keep the Norge and somehow justify the others. The Norge then, keeps you rooted in reality while the others let your fantasy's play. Best of all worlds.

While EM does do Euro automobile restorations you are too close to Charlie for him not to do the work if you want a Guzzi restored. If you interested I have a T3 that I'm thinking of selling. It is roadworthy with lots of new parts.
