Title: Dawn conjunction extraordinaire

In the eastern predawn sky, from horizon up, Mercury is unusually prominent, then Jupiter with fainter dull orange Mars right above it, then glorious Venus shining over the whole array.  Amazing this morning.  Don't miss it if you get the chance, this sort of conjunction (especially with Mercury so easy to see) doesn't happen often.  If you read this now, consider looking now if you're near my longitude (83W) and you've got a clear view of the east and it's clear out, if not it should look like this for another week or so.  Nic

That's when I go out and bring in the paper. I've been watching since the Hunter's moon a few days ago.  :thumb:

Thanks for the heads east and timing.  Sunday I will get up early and hike up to the levee for a look.  I love planet watching.
Dark skies at our cabin in SW Colorado, no moon, and 9300 feet were astonishing last week.
