Title: New Jersey Breakfast - November 2015
Post by: Cam3512 on October 19, 2015, 02:41:29 PM
SATURDAY, November 7th at 10am here:

Town & Country Café, Ocean Heights and Zion Road, Egg Harbor Twp., NJ
(in the strip mall at the intersection)

http://www.yelp.com/biz/towne-and-country-cafe-egg-harbor-township

After breakfast we'll ride over to the nearby Fleming's Pumpkin Run. We've done this event for the last few years, and it's a sight to behold. Lot's of stuff going on, you won't be disappointed! Check out info here:

http://www.flemingspumpkinrun.com/

There is a rain date for this event. If it gets rained out, our breakfast meeting WILL CHANGE with the Pumpkin Run's date. Keep posted here just in case.

This will be the LAST organized meet before the season comes to a close. Dec-Jan-Feb rides will be impromptu dictated by the weather.

Come on out!

Cam

Riding the Special up from Destin, FL is probably not going to happen. Gonna miss the pumpkin cannon.

That's what Cam told me he does.

If Cam rides the police Ambo, it's worth going just to see it.

Anybody coming from the NYC area?  Thinking of making this my V7 racer's first trip to see other Guzzis.

If anyone from Central NJ wishes to ride down to Egg Harbor Township. We are meeting in downtown Hopewell, NJ (Rt 518 / East Broad St and Princeton Ave) Hopewell Motors is right at the corner.

We will make all efforts to leave Hopewell by 8:00AM our ETA is 10AM

Our ride will go through Princeton and a short ride on US 195 to Allentown NJ. The rest (most) of ride will be on County Rd 539 thru Monmouth County. Entering GSP at exit 48, and off at Exit 36. That will put us about 15min from Zion Rd (CR 615)

Thanks

Thanks to Cam,  I meant to say CR 539 connects to GSP at Exit 58.

If you guys have a few meets next spring summer, I might make the trek down from Atlantic Canada. Make a nice long weekend run.

We will have another weekend campout in May sometime.  I'll post it here in the Spring.

Typically how many guzzis show up?

Typically how many guzzis show up?

Our first campout was small, we kept it among our group just to check out the campground.  There was about 10 of us.  It was a success, so next year we'll open it up to a larger audience.  This is not a Guzzi "Rally" that typically draws 50-100 riders.

Great location though...

Sorry, I should have been more clear, how many people show up at the breakfast?

That varies greatly, but in earnest months usually about 6-12.

Ask my phone, I'm done trying to translate for it.

(Though if I had to guess I would say either is was "most" or "warmer").  :undecided:

Time to give that phone a stern talking to , of course it would mis-translate that also

Witnessed a quite a few classic cars driving down Rt. 40 today. Looks like its going to be a good turnout of mechanical eye candy. Getting ready for my two mile ride down Zion Rd. See ya'll tomorrow!

Hey Mike-those cars on 40 were probably every day transportation in South Jersey!

I'm thinking of taking the looong route.

Lancaster, Gap, RT41 to Wilmington, RT40 to Egg Harbor. Instead of the silly and boring turnpike.
How's the RT40? 15MPH or can you actually move forward on it?

You can move on 40, but it's really just 2 lanes.  There are lights in each small town you go through. Keep an eye on signs at intersections.  Rt 40 takes some funky turns.  Probably take you an hour to get across Jersey on it.

Man it was a long and wet ride home...  Thank the electric vest gods for making it bearable...  Was still better than the Honey-do list I'm looking at today.

Sorry guys....
I got tho Philly around 9AM and it started to rain, stopped under the Camden bridge and checked weather channel. Nothing but green and yellow. I decided to turn back since in my great wisdom I did not take any raingear with me.  Next time...
