I got inspired by the recent TV show thread and the mention of two of my favourite shows :-).
Witch(!) of these 2 lovely ladies gets your vote?

Won't do it. Will not cannot choose between these two. Thanks for the great photos and memories!
Got me thinking about it...very different things going on with those two. Both are stunning but their appeal to me was very different. OK, Elizabeth wins by a nose.
-
Neither...
In those days, I was enthralled by Honor Blackman's Cathy Gale, and especially by Dianna Rigg as Emma Peel!
-
Samantha, she was smart enough for a relationship.
Jeannie was dumb enough for a one night stand.
Talking strictly the characters of course.
-
+1 for Emma Peel. Especially in her black combat gear...

Oh Kev, puhleez. Do you really have to dump a bucket of water on it by thinking first about who would help you finish the crossword puzzle?
My vote? Jeannie. why? Well of course, it would be her siren song: "yes, master." Now THAT is a fantasy, gentlemen.
If you recall, Samantha was always getting involved in some shenanigans like summoning demons from the third ring of Hell. Not exactly something I'd like to deal with when coming home after a hard day at the office.
-
'sides, when did a one night stand become such a bad thing? I read articles now about female empowerment where women who opt for a one nighter are heros. In fact, I have dated women who would be defined as "playas". It made me feel cheap, sniff, and used.
-
has Winter started already?
-
Not even a contest, Barbra Eden, especially as Jeanie. She wasn't bad either in an Andy Griffith episode. Not knocking Liz but Jeanie just appeals more to my lustful instincts, or at least the ones I have left.

Why are you assuming I'm talking crossword puzzles.
I find intelligent women are more fun IN BED too.

Didn't say it was... just saying that, based on the dumbness of the character I probably couldn't keep her around for more than that...

Not exactly your typical motorcycle forum poll.......you guys have waaaayyyyy too much time on your hands!

But did you vote? ;-)

has Winter started already?
Yep.
In my youth I had the hots for this lady.

If it gets to be a really long winter there are still the Ginger or Mary Ann, which Petticoat Junction girl, which "Charlie's Angels", LaVerne or Shirley, which of the four girls from "Three Company", WKRP's Jennifer or Bailey, Which Olsen twin, need I go on.

Dean Rose has good taste.
Yep.

Are we talking the lady or the character ?
Dusty
Well, none of us know the ladies, sooooooo unless you're going on NOTHING but looks... the character.
-
I'll go with Jeanie, she's beautiful and she doesn't have Endora the mother in law baggage to deal with. I always felt sorry for durwood, she was on his ass all the time
-
Liz , more the girl next door .
Dusty
-
Well, none of us know the ladies, sooooooo unless you're going on NOTHING but looks... the character.
Unless of course Dusty is referring to just the looks of the "The Lady"??
It's hard to separate the different aspects, so let's just say it's a bit of both! The total package!
And no more French distractions! She can't compete with Liz or Barbara!
-
Definitely Elizabeth for me.
-

Of course he is, but that's essentially asking about a meat puppet...
-

she was the whole package: brains, beauty, brawn, kink.
-

OK, you guys finally got me to google Emma Peel.
And holy crap, that's Dianna Rigg, who currently appears in.... Game of Thrones.
She plays a feisty matriarch now.
-
I was going to mention that she hasn't aged terribly well.
By the same standard, I wonder if she owns a Guzzi?
-
OK, Emma Peel was nice too. But she couldn't wiggle her nose or live inside a bottle (as far as I know!).
So you can mention who you also like, but this poll is about "magical" ladies! Don't forget to vote (Jeannie is winning by 2 to 1!)
-
I don't remember Emma Peel being able to twitch her nose or fold her arms and produce a new Guzzi, etc. in a blink. Either of the above woman is fine by me.
-
Mary Ann in a heart beat
-
Man, I forgot about the whole living in a bottle thing. When you decide that you want to clean your carburetors in the kitchen sink you can just plug the bottle. How awesome is that?!
...and friends wonder why I'm still single
-
I was going to mention that she hasn't aged terribly well.
I do have to respect a woman who doesn't get her face mutilated to try to stay young looking, with cheek implants and inflated lips, etc. though.

I was going to say SHE AGED... ok, big deal. :thumb:
-

Yes, and, well, yes.
I was going to mention that she hasn't aged terribly well.
Well, neither have I......

-
It doesn't have to be a choice.
-
Beats the hell out of politics...
I'd take Jeanie/Barbara Eden every time.
:thumb:
-
Samantha/Elizabeth Montgomery, hands down.
She had beauty, magical powers, and a brain, which Jeannie always seemed to lack
-
They were both always over dressed.
-
Samantha was a nagging housewife mother.
Not my idea of a good time.
-
I don't watch television, although I used to occasionally when I was a pup. Gimme Jeannie.. I wasn't planning on talking to her..
-
But could anyone of them cook or iron?

Could she even see what was in that frying pan to cook it? :thumb:

Diana Rigg was actually fairly handsome for many years (certainly through her time hosting PBS Masterpiece Theater, or is that "Theatre'?) - it's only been in the last five or ten years that time managed to catch her.
As for magic, well, the later Emma Peel Avengers episodes did have a fair bit of sci-fi and supernatural influences!
-
The Farmer's Daughter & Weena from the Time Machine were a couple of my favorites from that era.

Jeannie in that costume in the bottle with all the pillows was the stuff 12 year-old boys dreamt about.... wait.... did I say that out loud?
-
In keeping to the OP I get to the same vote, two ways.
>The title asks me to choose betwixt Jeannie and Samantha:
Sure, they both have "powers" but only one is sworn to the "Master"... where's the choice?
Then there too, is the whole bottle situation - a + in a pile of pluses.
>The poll asks Eden or Montgomery:
I'd already be inclined to lean towards Barbara in general, then, taking "The 7 Faces of Dr. Lao" into account - t-ain't no choice at all.
Now, wanna stir the mix for me and those like me? Throw Samantha's evil twin in the mix! A naughty, hot witch? Yowza!
Todd.

Speaking of having too much time on hand.....I wondered what the original twosome looked like today. Found out EM died very young in 1995. BE is still alive and kickin' at 84; she did receive an honorary Ph.D. a few years back, so she must have SOME brains-right?

Pfffft. 84? She's probably still pretty hot. Your prospective changes, I guess..

Yep no contest, Jeannie it is!!!

One the one hand you got this chick who you can order back to her room whenever you want to, who has nothing on her mind other than fulfilling your every wish.
On the other hand you've got this house frau you cant agree with on anything, who's got an extended family that's crazier than she is, and they're all doing their best to ruin you.
I can do that math. :boozing:
-
Barbara Eden was cute in a wholesome way but Liz was a lovely lady.

Some of you guys must have had some lousy relationships if you want to order a woman back to her room/bottle...
-
Jeannie or Samantha? Jeannie
Ginger or Mary Ann? Ginger
Bailey or Jennifer? Bailey
Emma Peel or Catwoman (Julie Newmar)? Both
Carol Burnett or Vickie Lawrence?
Mariel Hemmingway or Brook Shields?
This kind of either / or is about watching the shows now, not about what the actresses look like now. And we're certainly not talking real relationships, just fantasy.
Winter has come early.

LAMO,
like anyone here would've ever gotten to first base with any gal mentioned here.

Ugh! How repulsive! Are you suggesting that I would consider a base, physical relationship when given the opportunity to have a caring, meaningful interaction filled with mutual respect and endless conversation about our inner feelings?

I guess Sam was into enduro riding

A woman that I always thought was beautiful is Jane Seymour. She caught my eye as a Bond Girl over 40 years ago and still looks great today at (almost) 65. She must have some problems though as she has been married and divorced 4 times. I guess she was the spokes women for "Beauty is only skin deep" :boozing:
-
I think the only personalities Jane S could get along with are Alan Alda and Ed Begley, Jr.
-
A Google images search for "bewitched motorcycle" turns up a Panhead chopper and a Suzuki.
