Thought about buying this to fix up and sell, but the numbers don't add up. Would be a good project for someone, though.

It's all about time. Time spent going to get it, time spent fixing it. Add in cost of parts and there's just not enough profit in the sale to make it worth it to me. What's a running one in good condition go for? Maybe $3500?

The numbers don't add up for me neither . It's the numbers in the disposable income pile

I'd say $3500 is about right. I was thinking tires, battery, and about a weeks labor, but you are *much* more experienced than I am at buying one to sell.

This bike was for sale on Albany NY , Craigslist for 850 $ two week ago .
Last week showed up on Connecticut cl FOR 1150 $
And now is in DC for 1800 $.
I assume the title is still from the NY guy that owned it for a long time and put it up for sale for 850 the first time .
poor bike she's like a w**re .
My guess is that anyone was able to figure out what the issue is .

Buy it now. Next week it'll be $5,000 in Miami...
I just paid $1,400 for a crashed '02 LeMans to salvage some parts for myself and sell the rest. I'm already ahead financially (if I add the cost of kept parts to cash sales) and still have a lot left.
I had in all apart in less than 20 hours labor. Maybe I'll "earn" $10.00 an hour, but I don't care. It's kind of fun, it's great practice for future maintenance - and I have a complete flywheel and clutch for my Scura.
So - all that to say: "There's some value in that bike for the right person."
Some electrical problems - that sounds fixable. It seems a shame to part out something that could get back on the road easily - but it's a viable option.
