Took a long overdue road trip with the wifey up to Maine, and made stops in Booth Bay, Portland, Rockport, Gloucester, Salem, & Newport, RI. Ate too much, drank too much. What a beautiful area at a beautiful time of the year. Cool but not too. Touristy but not too. . .
Here's a few pics.
Blueberry pancakes at Becky's in Portland. Last there maybe 10-12 years ago.

Gloucester- oldest working seaport in the USofA. Settled before Boston. 1630-something. Home of the Gorton's Fisherman.

Salem- they buried plenty of babies. Along with witches. And they like creepy art.

Wish I had known you were passing through. I live in Marblehead, next door to Salem.

nice area you got up there. riding looks excellent when you get onto the backroads. the $10,000 fine for littering appears to work like a champ too. we could use that here in PA.

Nice tour there drummer..
The 850-T belongs to Frank, the owner of Sprague's in Wiscasset, I service that Guzzi for him, we were school mates together years ago and have been life long friends.
The Fall Color shot is along the Androscoggin River in Brunswick, the bridge is the walking bridge across the river to Topsham.
I once rode a motorcycle across that walking bridge, I was young a foolish...
Great photos, glad you had a good run.
Best,
Rob

Frank was such a nice fella. Spoke very highly of his friend that keeps his bike tip-top. Had no idea Frank was the owner- a gentleman for sure. Please pass along my thanks for a great feed there at his place. I told my wife that I'd died & gone to Maine!
