Title: Raise your glass to Comet Lovejoy
Post by: Nic in Western NYS on October 25, 2015, 06:13:14 AM
This comet was putting out alcohol equivalent to 500 bottles of wine per second, plus a lot of sugar (Thunderbird wine? Manischewits?)

Who knew?

(Regarding lack of Guzzi content - hopefully enough astro plus alcohol plus dessert geeks will approve to make this ok for the list)

Damned interesting article...I wonder how the formation of that alcohol worked out...Solar heat distilling it off I can understand, but for it to occur by fermentation would require some favorable conditions.

Give that comet some oxygen and you'll get a nice big fireball!

A Space BBQ! Now which comet tastes like chicken?
