Title: Cal sci screen for norge
Post by: BAT 11 on October 27, 2015, 11:53:49 PM
Received a new screen from Mark. Fitted and went for 200km ride today. 50% quieter with screen down, 90% quieter with screen up. Zero buffeting, can now hear the motor, gear changes, less fatigue. Very happy.  Only tighten Allen bolts to finger tight, no movement.  Cheers Ian.   PS anyone for Adelaide to Darwin next April ,May?

Yes, they work well and good. I am very pleased with my medium.

I also had a good experience with an aftermarket Norge windscreen.  I got the one from MG Cycle.  It has the same shape as the stock screen with the recurved upper lip, but it's taller.  I can ride along at 80 mph with my visor up, which is how I like it ! Minimal buffeting and able to look over the top of the screen --

I have the CalSci medium for my Norge, and my only complaint is that the plastic is a bit soft. I'm sure it makes the manufacture a bit easier, but the scratches and overall milkiness or haze that come with time come a bit faster on this screen than some others.

With the stock windshield, I've added a Laminar Lip - good for the hotter weather.

I have not experienced any of the above. I have had mine since the fall of 2011 when they first came out.
