Title: rear wheel for Tonti.
Post by: custimguitarman on October 28, 2015, 05:57:27 PM
I have a convert with cast wheels and the rear is bent. I would like to find a good rear wheel or can mine be straightened?

I had good luck having my lemans wheel straightened professionally.  Cost will be around $150 total.  In my case it was important to keep the date code.  Probably  not a big deal on a vert.

There is a shop in New Hampshire that specializes in it. Not that I know of anyone?

there are  a few places that do it. good new is, those wheels are "lead butter", heavy and easily bendable. So they can be brought back easily.

Woody's Wheel works in Colorado is another place that straightens them.  I bought an Excel rim from them for the Mille, and their attitude and knowledge was very good.

I've had several wheels straightened by a guy near Greenville SC.

Ducati, Guzzi, Honda, he did them all.

Thanks Guys.
Also,
Anyone know of reasonably priced spoke wheels? I just saw one go for 410 on ebay. I cannot see spending what I paid for the bike for a pair of wheels.
