View from City Hall roof a few minutes ago. There's good motorcycling weather here when the rest of the country is hibernating their batteries on a tender. Link: http://www.airinfonow.com/html/pics-deq123.html

Hibernating?
Yeah, that occurs for about two months give or take, right at the beginning of the year.
Kinda like those months in the summer you guys in AZ are melting, just the opposite.

160 miles of central MD and PA today. Started off sunny and breezy, clouds rolled in, temp never made it to 50. Still had a great time! The "polizia" fairing and DB legshields do a great job of blocking the wind.

I'll keep riding until there's salt on the roads...

I close my eyes and breath deep to smell the leaf-mulch cool fall air from my scratch and sniff screen.

The Echo blower does its job one more season. I don't look forward to strapping that two stroke machine on my back, but it always starts, always does what it was designed to do ..... blow leaves.
But once they're gone, either blown into the surrounding woods, or picked up by the local city vacuum truck, it's evident ..... the warm season is over.
It's closing in on the time to do the final ride to warm up the engines, then pull the bikes into the garage with several quarts of 'the good stuff,' Agip for the Guzzi, and Mobil1 20/50 for the Beemer, and some Stabil for the fuel. Change the oil and filters, plug them into Battery Tenders, and wait it out until next spring.
But spring is always out there, just waiting for us to get through the zero degree weather and several inches of snow.
And like always, we'll get through it, and joyfully fire up the bikes first good day in the spring. And once again, we'll appreciate that we're there to saddle up and ride into yet another riding season.

Kind of melancholy but still in the mix:

Still doing the 40 mile work commute. Scattered rain squalls and DARK in the mornings but high 50s in the afternoons.
