That looks like a good deal.   If it were within a day's driving range, I'd go get it, service it, and have it just as a backup bike .....

Is this a real EV or a Special Sport/Jackel with some EV parts.

1. Are the rims tubeless?  It appears the spokes run to the center and not the edge.  But I can't enlarge the pic enough to tell.

2. Is the tail light wrong?  I thought a real EV tail light was painted?

3. Lots of chrome pieces are missing.  The steering head, along the tail pipe and swing arm pivot.  I believe the EV
tank had chrome on it.

What say you EV experts?  Real EV or not?

Those wheels don't look like the tubeless that came on that year EV, it doesn't have the right taillight, paint, chrome covers on the foot controls.

Nor is the paint anything like an EV of that year.

The seller never claims it is an EV , don't know about the correct wheels , thought all of the tubeless rims were the same , dunno . For 18,00 bucks it is a lot of bike .

It's an EV. The only ones that came with those wheels were the EV's and the very early Bassa's. Also has an outsider. Somebody buy this thing. If it's there by Monday, I'll snag it.

Good move!   None of our business, of course, but it would be nice to know if it's actually real and actually pretty much as advertised once you get it, and not some broken-crankshaft hollow shell or something.

Thanks for the update!

Curtis,  You move too fast for this bunch.  Accepted protocol here is to ruminate over it for a few weeks before striking!

Actually, our process is to talk over great deals in detail, moaning that we're completely broke and can't buy them, and then never buy them at all.  Same for the next 47 bikes to come up ......   :thewife:

After discussion with the owner, I am pretty sure it will be a good machine. Since it is a pre Aprilia michine, I'm pretty confident it will be good.

Obviously it will need a little repair. But yes, we can let you know what it turns out like. Not that I would come back and say anything like "Boy howdy you guys sure did miss a heckuva deal here" or anything like that. I'll just change the body work and flip it for $6500 or something like that. You'll never know about it. (You guys can keep a secret right?)

As far as it fast for an 1100, his previous fast bike was a Yamaha v twin cruiser. So there ya go.

Also it makes for a nice way for Mike and Alice to get away for a few days and enjoy the fall colors while they go get it.

Yes, something like that.    I can run a 6-minute mile or something like that ...

Thanks!
