Post by: uncle on November 04, 2015, 02:06:31 PM
The Weather has been fantastic lately and taking advantage of some great fall riding -

(the fishing has been pretty good too - here on the Chesapeake Bay)

Looks like the road that went to my house at Cheasapeake Ranch Estates near Solomons Island.

Beautiful shot!

The exhaust on your Griso looks way better than the stock big/small thing.

When I first got my bike 'Guzziownr' talked me into getting it saying "hey, you only have to spend that money once..."

(I'm still not sure what that means, but I got it anyway) -

Tom Farley had the best advice when I was marveling over his highly personalized Jackal and sort of commiserating on the probable cost.

He said "No money was involved at all.    When I need something, I just peck a few numbers onto the computer, and the dealer sends me the stuff I need, I don't even know what they think they're charging.    And every once in a while, the computer moves some account numbers and figures around and they don't say anything about money.   Been working for years and my money is still in my pocket ...."

That's the way I do it too ....

Yet both HIS Grisos have always worn the stock double barrel pipes?  What gives Beave...

That looks to be a Termi, tho I didn't enlarge it to confirm.

I have one, too, and mount it now and then -- very easy to swap cans on the Griso -- when is strikes my fancy every other month or so.

That said, while there is a quite noticeable weight difference, if that were a real concern, I should eat more salad.  Not.

But, on the merits, I have never thought the OEM can ungainly, and, in fact, think its design blends very well with the Griso's lines.  Besides, I have never thought I was in the same league as an Italian preschooler when it comes to art, much less a moto-designer in Mandello.

And, while the Termi's sound is grand (and actually better, IMO, with the dbf killer in), the stock boom is fine.  Mighty.

Took mine out yesterday for its state revenue ... erm ... I mean "safety" inspection.

Naturally, Kathi's on to me, as on my return a few hours later, she said, "Got lost again, huh?"  :thewife:

But she grinned and handed me a drink.

Being married to a saint is a bit of a burden, actually.

Bill

It is the Termi -  The stock 8v Griso sounds much better than the Griso 1100...  Mine is an '07 G11 and the stock pipe sounds a little 'tinny' to my ear,  the Termi I find is much better -  and I do leave the baffle in (most of the time).

Uncle was talking to himself, I just happened to be in the room.  The quote was wrong too.  What I said was:  "The quality of what you bought will still be there after you have forgotten what you paid."
