And to all past and present serving Marines. It's a tough service and has been part of keeping this country free for a long time ....

Yes absolutely! I wish to remember my favorite Marine: Lance Corporal Billy F. Latch, Jr. "Big" Bill gave me my first job in the oil patch.
Besides being a distinguished geologist and engineer, Bill survived Pearl Harbor on the USS Helena. And he participated in three island invasions and two ship sinkings. Bill passed about 12 years ago, and he is missed.
Marines are special. Bless them all.

If it was required, I'd do it over again. Semper Fi to the other Jarheads and it was an honor to serve with that outfit.

Overcome with emotion at the prospect of our 240th birthday, I got a white sidewall haircut yesterday and wore my red USMC sweatshirt today. My next door neighbor (retired USMC light bird) and I greeted each other today with "Happy Birthday". This is always a special day to us Marines.

Semper Fi. Proud to have served and best thing that I ever did for myself.

Indeed. While I was USAF, 1980-1990, my daughter is active duty USMC, currently stationed on Okinawa. Rah!

Yep, spent a year at Sukiran when I wasn't on a ship somewhere. I think we were the only Marine stationed there.
