Yikes
Was that poor thing parked under water? Sad how such a rare and significant motorcycle can be allowed to age like that.
I am sure it's going to look like new when you are done!
Cheers

Temperate?
Winter here is at least 6 months, this year has been an anomaly as we have yet to have our first snow fall and the day time temperatures have been above freezing. Usually snow is on the ground from late October until May, then we wait until late May early June for the city to pick up all the sand and gravel they dump on the roads all winter. This past summer we were lucky enough to have 4 decent months of riding. A heated garage and a bike project are my therapy and means of keeping sane between riding seasons. :azn:
