Most of you already know, but I figure its worth posting if there are new Califoria, EV, Jackal, Stone, Jackal etc owners on the board. The bushing that goes inside the shifter is nylon from the factory, and frankly is a bit loose right out the gate. To make things worse, the machining tollerance for the pivot lug is kind of wide right from the factory. I offer a brass bushing upgrade that takes up a lot of that slack there. Makes the shifter fit onto the pivot lug a lot better. Some folks even have to use a bit of sandpaper to make the inside of my bushing a tiny bit bigger to fit their bike. If your bikes shifter is all floppy on the pivot lug, drop me a note, Its not an expensive part and over the winter is a good time to take care of it. Bruns@wat.midco.net

Good stuff, Lee.
I've ordered 10-15 over the years (share with local friends) and they make a huge difference in shifting AND braking. They fit for the rear brake bushing as well.
I've over honed them to fit and ended with a shift as sloppy as OEM - once. A little makes a bit difference in fit - patience works for me.

Thanks Walt. I got 6 spun off this afternoon while the kids were playing in the leaves. Busy day hiding from the shoppers at the stores.

Lee I put one of your bushings in a few years ago and it is still nice and tight. I guess I will skip this tip this winter, maybe next. You turn out some quality pieces! :thumb:

Lee,
I put your bushing in my '98 EV this morning and all the slop is gone in the linkage. Thanks for making something that works available.
