Got a second hand Breva 1100 on 13th October
Rode it about 100 miles but found it had a VERY snatchy throttle and decided that a throttle balance and a tune (I haven't got GuzziDiag yet) was in order from a good knowledgeable garage (Moto Italia in Lincoln) on 20th October
Garage balanced it and then things went pear shaped.
They discovered that the PO had "adjusted" the sacred screw to hide a problem with the idle control valve and while trying to start the engine following that the starter motor died
I subsequently discovered that it hadn't been MOT'd (vehicle inspection) for 2 years and I wonder if the ICV was the reason
The ICV is supposed to get here 10th December from MG in Italy, I'm £450 down the tube plus labour and Moto Italia have had the bike longer than I have

I think when I get it back I'll pretend I've only just got it and blank out the agro so far :thumb:

it'll be worth it when it's done! I absolutely love the B11 engine's low down torque. The throttle should be pretty smooth, but it'll never be super smooth (unless mine is out of whack too).
Also, Dave Richardson tells me every time I take the bike in that it's one of the best bikes that MG ever made.
