Hi, all: I have an early '09 Stelvio, titled 1/2009. It had the first level cam recall done in it's first year of ownership. Now at 10K miles, I'm thinking I'd better do a pre-emptive and upgrade to roller cam lifters.
Which one of the 3(?) available upgrade kits do I need for an engine that's already had the first (diamond-plated?) tappet recall?

Probably kit C, the big dollar one.
You need to look at the side of the head, against the frame. There is a date code cast in the head. Beside the date code, they drill a mark. If you to NOT have the drill mark, you probably need kit C. If you do have the drill mark, you probably need kit B. I think kit A is later models.
There are details and photos in the roller thread that Pete did.

If no 2009, no abs, certain=C
If you need C and have to pay the kit, get the B and buy difference parts extra, saves lot of money

Just checked the date stamp on the heads. Even with the limited clearance between frame and head, that mark looks too obvious to miss. Looks like I'm up for a "C"
(Where does the "D" come in??)

'D' kit is for late model 1200 Sport with the 'Floating' rocker covers.
