I think the stewardesses are aging along with the rest of the population. It has been a while since I have seen one worth embarrassing myself over. Also, I do not drink while on a plane.

I hate flying on the airliners today. The attractive stewardess was the only good part of the whole experience.

I understand why you feel this way. Try first class, it's actually quite a bit better. The Airlines are improving their services albeit slowly. As an example AA is trying to reinvent themselves and the difference between the new product and the old is like night and day. Fly on a new bird with fresh flight attendants and it's actually a pleasant experience. Take an old MD80 with 40 year embittered stewardesses and the ride can be quite abrasive.

Who remembers the Southwest "hot pants" ads?? Only ever saw one (except adds) and she was a gate agent. She did the uniform great justice!!

I was a dirty young man living in Dallas at the time. Sat. nights at the clubs near love field were fantastic.

Quit calling me Shirley.. but you're right. :smiley: Normally that little booger in Penderic's post is kicking the back of my seat the whole trip. Giving mom the stink eye does nothing. Throttling the little creep is probably called for but might get me in trouble, so I just grin and bear it..

Use the word Stewardess and you`ll be lucky to get your bag of peanuts. That description was retired over 20 years ago, and you will be pretty much ignored if you use it.

When I was doing appliance repair in Sacto., Ca. (Intl. airport). I had a single male customer who had a 4 bedroom 2 story house. He rented 3 of the bedrooms to stewardesses! Talk about a choice setup! :bow: The guy had a perpetual smile on his face. :tongue:
