I've done some searching, but no luck so far. I need to raise my '98 EV passenger pegs about three inches and move them back about an inch or so. I don't do welding, so unless someone has a simple solution, or a good template, I guess I'll have to find a fabricator. I want my grandson to be able to reach them comfortably so he can ride with me. He has done several thousand miles in the sidecar, so he's not completely new to being a passenger.
Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.

3" is a long way.. maybe instead fab up some stirrups that hang from the seat, like throw over saddle bags but with foot holds?

Back in the days of my '04 EV, I installed a set of these Harper's passenger floorboards for my wife. These are described for a few different models, the Jackal being one of them, so they should fit on your bike. They were very well built units, not cheap crap at all. Call and ask. They move the foot position up and back an unspecified amount, and I can't remember how much, but my 5' tall wife thought they were better than the stock pegs and she could not reach the pegs well enough to be comfortable. If they fit the bike but still don't give the reach, you could build up removable wood platforms to mount to these floorboards. They should fold out of the way when not in use.
Heck, maybe the kid will hit a growth spurt over the winter and be just fine come next riding season.

Thanks for the responses.
Steve: Did the floorboards clear the saddlebags OK? I plan to call Harper's and see what they have to say. He's already pretty tall for an 8 year old, but I want him to feel comfortable on the EV. I searched Harper's before, but looked for pegs instead of floorboards.

I think it'd be a fairly easy job for a halfway decent welder. Easiest would be sacrifice your old pegs--remove the rubber, cut close to where they exit from the mount, then weld on a piece of flat stock. Drill the end of the plate for some aftermarket pegs.

I used a Kuryakyn offset of some sort. I had to fill the inside of it with serrated washers to get to grip the side plate.
I left a "stub" in the original cradle for a rear set for myself.

No problems with the floorboards and the HB racks and hard cases. I may have had to tinker with washers/spacers to get them to behave with the bike's mounting points, but nothing that caused more than some mild cursing. But this was 10 years ago and those memories aren't crystal clear anymore. Nice units, looked good.

Again, thanks to all for your ideas and suggestions. Plenty of food for thought, now I need to sit in a chair in front of the EV and see if I can figure out which approach will work best for me. I'm leaning towards using some sort of flat stock, or "U" channel to get the height I need and then find a suitable footpeg to use with it. I plan to take a ride over to the young fellow who made the subframe for my sidecar rig and gather his thoughts. I'm sure he can make me something that will work.
If I get a solution I'll be sure to post a pic here in case someone else might want to do something similar.
